TL-SC3171G IP surveillance camera is a versatile solution for your home & office monitoring. It watches your home, your kids, your workplace, whatever you care for most. After connecting directly to a local network using the camera’s 54Mbps wireless or wired Ethernet connection, it can send live video to your home PC or through the internet to a Web browser or Smartphone, anywhere in the world!
True Day / Night Surveillance
TL-SC3171G uses 12 IR (Infrared) LEDs light as a means to produce clear images in the dark and an industrial mechanical ICR (IR Cut-filter Removable) completely filters that light during the day ensuring vivid video as clear as you would see with the naked eye, both functions unavailable on traditional day/night cameras that resulted in poor image quality during both the day and the night.
16-channel Management Software
The surveillance software coming with the IP camera assists you manage multiple cameras at the same time. With it, video from 16 cameras can be displayed on one screen. You can archive streaming video and audio straight to your hard drive, playback video, and monitor up to 16 cameras on a single screen.
54Mbps Wireless Connectivity
IP camera is usually installed on the ceilings or on the wall, but it is hard to deploy the Ethernet cable there. It’s great if you can setup the IP camera wirelessly. TL-SC3171G comes with wireless connectivity at a speed up to 54Mbps, which ensures the smooth video transmission.
Dual Streaming
Unlike traditional IP Cameras operating at only MPEG-4 or MJPEG compression mode, TL-SC3171G can deliver MPEG-4 and MJPEG streams simultaneously —- MJPEG produces lossless while bandwidth-consuming video and MPEG-4 produces efficiently compressed “small size” video. Now with TL-SC3171G, you can just monitor local rooms with MJPEG stream and remote office with MPEG-4 stream, backing them all up to a server in MPEG-4 format.

Setup Instructions if being used to extend the range on an existing router instead of the default settings for a wired network.
1. The DCHP will be enabled on all the wireless plugs by default but you only need one dchp running on your network at the gateway (the existing wireless router in this case) as this is the gateway to the internet.
2 Find out the ip address of your existing router, something along the lines of 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.2 etc and then switch off your existing router.
3 Plug the wireless homeplug in first before making any other connection, scan for this wirelessly with a computer, and select the powerline network and connect.
4. Open an internet browser on the connected computer and type 192.168.1.2 into the address bar, this will bring up the setup page for the wireless homeplug.
Username: admin
Password: password
5. On the left hand menu select LAN>Lan Settings. In the IP address box enter the address with the same first three sets of digits as your existing router, e.g. 192.168.1. or 192.168.0. etc but set the last three digits to 150 so you end up with something like 192.168.1.150 or 192.168.0.150 etc also tick the DCHP server disable button, and press submit.
6. Click the management menu item in the left hand menu and select save to flash. Before this step you can also set the security on the plug if required in the wireless>security menu item.
7. Give the homeplug a few minutes to reboot and settle down, now plug the standard homeplug into your router and switch the homeplug and router on.
8. The setup is complete.
