Homeplug turns the existing electric wires in your home or office into a high-speed network. You don't have to install the network cables and be annoyed with the cables everywhere, just use the wires that already run through the building!
Just plug the adapter into the power socket on the wall, and connect any Ethernet-equipped device to the adapter, put another adapter in the location you are trying to reach and bingo, it then simply converts the network signal to a signal that can be sent down your electrical wiring and then at the other end converts it back again.
The simplest use is shown below to connect a pc or consoles etc that can not reach the wireless signal or are not wireless enabled.
If on step 4 you want to go wireless again for say a laptop just put a wireless access-point into the Homeplug instead.
Or if you have a complete network connect the homeplug it into spare port on your Lan to bridge the link.
Once your computers are connected to the network, they can share resources like printers and storage space, and all kinds of files -- music, digital pictures, and documents. With up to 200Mbps data rates, you can run streaming video and VoIP applications..
